Youth and Education

Working alongside America's youth and instilling a sense of patriotism has always been, and will always be, a VFW priority. Learn more about the VFW's youth and education programs below. Youth Scholarships - Our youth scholarships challenge students to reflect on our nation's history, their ideals and principles, and their own experiences based on a patriotic theme. Teacher of the Year - Each year the VFW recognizes three exceptional teachers; one each from the elementary, junior high and high school levels; for their outstanding commitment to teach Americanism and instill patriotism in their students.

Buddy Poppies

The VFW Buddy Poppy program provides compensation to the veterans who assemble the poppies, provides financial assistance in maintaining state and national veterans' rehabilitation and service programs and partially supports the VFW National Home For Children.

Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

Donaldson Center VFW Post 9273 is located at 112 Sterling Grove Road Piedmont, SC. We received our Charter in 1974.

We host an Auxiliary Charter and Canteen.

Regular Meetings: 4th Tuesday of each month at 19:00 hours (7pm).
      NOTE:  No meeting in December
 
Wednesdays:  Swamp Rabbit Comedy (open mic) at 18:30 hours.  [Post open at 18:00 (6pm)]
Thursdays:  Canteen opens at 16:00 (4pm)
 
1st & 3rd Fridays of the month:  Steak Nights.  Canteen opens at 16:00 (4pm).
 
Sundays:  Canteen opens 1/2 hour before afternoon NASCAR races.
